TIME WAITS FOR NO MAN

Psalm 90:10, “The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away”

Time is an asset of universal equality. Everyone on earth has equal time of 24hours a day. Time is an equal commodity available to both the rich and poor, great and small, white and black.

Time is money and time wasters are not different from money wasters. No wonder people say, “Time is running out or time is not on my side”. It is instructive to note that time has never been and will never be our friend. So don’t keep till tomorrow what you can do today because procrastination is a thief of time. Don’t sleep all day thinking that time is waiting for you. “Tick, tock says the clock, what you want to do, do quickly”.

Take for instance that Peter, James and John are to live for seventy years, eighty years and One hundred and twenty years respectively. If each of them sleeps for eight hours a day, they would have a total sleeping life span of 23yrs, 4 months; 26yrs, 8 months and 40yrs respectively. You will agree with me that this is something to frown at.

THERE ARE ONLY 3-THINGS YOU CAN DO WITH YOUR TIME

a.     You can squander time

b.     You can spend time

c.      You can invest time

One of the best ways to manage your time is by setting goals; putting plans in place concerning the things you must do to accomplish your dreams within a certain time frame. Your plans could be either: long term, short term or even on a monthly, weekly or daily basis. You cannot afford to live like somebody that is not going anywhere today otherwise; you will end up a liability not only to yourself but to your family and the community at large.

One day, Richard Branson’s mother banned him from watching television, saying “Instead of sitting glued to the television watching other people doing their thing, why don’t you do what will make them to watch you? Today, Richard Branson is the founder of Virgin group and companies such as Virgin Atlantic, Virgin America, Virgin Mobile and Virgin Active. If he had ignored the instruction of his mother not to watch television, will he be the industrial legend that he is today? Certainly NO! So please take a cue from him.

There are a lot of modern technological devices today that consume so much of our valuable time that we need to invest in other things that can yield profit to us. There is nothing wrong with giving attention to modern technologies but the issue is, let apply wisdom especially in watching television; cartoons, home video, video games, etc. Eccl. 3:1.

People who make the most of their lives are those that trained themselves in time management. Time management is the gate way to fulfillment in life. DON’T FORGET THAT TIME IS THE GREATEST CURRENCY OF LIFE. It is like a rushing river that does not wait for anybody.

WHAT  IS TIME MANAGEMENT: Time management simply means being in total control of your time and the task ahead of you. A judicious use of this limited resource call time can only be accomplished through a conscious and consistent time management.

There was a story told of a young man by name Anthony Robins. While Robins was in high school, his mother banned him from watching television just like the case of Richard Branson. It was on record that Anthony Robins read 700 books on philosophy, Psychology and other books apart from books that have to do with his discipline.

You are in the most valuable season of your life. Don’t waste your destiny. Don’t allow any insignificant thing to consume your precious and valuable time you ought to invest doing something that will add value to your life.

NOTE THE FOLLOWING:

·        Time cannot be stored

·        Time has no colour

·        Time is infinite

·        It is impossible to increase time but you can increase what you do per time.

In conclusion let me say that the difference between the poor and the rich is not their family background but the valuable time they did not value. So redeem the time because the days are evil. (Eph. 5:16)

HOW DOES SPEAKING AFFECT YOUR PROSPERITY?

Law of Genesis:

Having to live a prosperous life is everybody’s dream. However there are some things that are essential to accumulate much prosperity. Most of us have not grasp the power of focus words, directing certain words continuously can create specific needs. It is focus, because you use words as a vantage for or against wanted or unwanted desires in your life. If what you are experiencing is not what you expect, then begin to speak your expectation not your situation.

“For surely you have a future ahead of you; your hope will not be disappointed.” Proverb 23:18

If you can say your desires long enough, you will surely experience them. If you have to fulfill destiny, you must not shut your mouth. Say and have all you want.

“People can get many good things by the words they say…” Proverb 12:14

The word of your mouth is what determines your ultimate worth in life.

Why do you need to speak?

You create your world by it:

In Genesis, God created the entire universal by spoken words. You can create the world you want by your spoken word. If you are having a lot of set back now, check your spoken word recently.

“…what he says will happen, it will be done for him” Mark 11:23

“Good people enjoy the positive results of their words…” Proverb 13:2

You can create your world as God did in Genesis. Say your desires until they manifest.

Build your tomorrow by what you say:

Everything you said yesterday has an effect on your today. It is the worth of your present status. Mind what you say, if you don’t want to have an adverse effect in any spectrum of your life. It is quite impossible to speak like a pauper and become wealthy in life. Nor can you behave like a failure and become successful. The Law in Genesis connotes that what you don’t say you can’t have even if you want them.

Sow the right words:

One of the reasons why God gave us his words [among other things] is for us to recreate or restructure all unwanted situations in our lives to positive ones. Using God’s word against undesirable situations of life as well as getting desirable needs in our lives is as potent as using two edge sword.

“For the word of God is full of living power. It is sharper than the sharpest knife, cutting deep into our innermost thoughts and desires. It exposes us for what we really are.” Hebrew4:12

The word of the Lord is a seed, and no matter how beautiful a seed is, if it is not sown it would never bring forth. Anytime you confess God’s words, you are sowing them, in due time it would manifest. If you keep confessing his word, aligning God’s word to a particular or specific desire, you would get that desire fulfilled.

Avoid wrong act or behavior:

For you to be prosperous you need to ‘act your talk’. This means that you need to behave accordingly as your belief. Professing a particular desire demands that you act as if that desires has happened and you will get that need fulfilled. Stop professing the wrong things into your life. Don’t confess hardship, failure or disappointment. Keep your demeanor aligned with your confession.

Don’t quit until you win:

For you to live in prosperity, start confessing your desires. Don’t quit until you see those desires fulfilled.

KNOWING THE BASIS OF PROSPERITY

KNOW HIM AND DO EXPLOITS:

Your prosperity can become real, if only you know God who is the source of all wealth. Until you know God, you cannot do exploits. A man who does exploits is a man that has discovered God. It is your divine discovery that brings about spiritual, financial and material exploits that are recognizable in your life.

“And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt with flatteries; but the people who know their God shall be strong and do exploits” Daniel 11:32

Daniel was exposed to the revelation that if he could only know God, he would attain lofty achievements. He was a slave in Babylon. To all intents and purposes, he was destined for a life of servitude and obscurity. Though he was not the only Hebrew child, there were thousands, but he knew something more than others-he knew his God. He had heard of what God had done in times past-how He parted the Red Sea and brought water out of the rock and as such he identified with Him.

“They that do know their God shall be strong…”

When you have knowledge, you cease from being poor, when you have knowledge, you stand at an advantage to overcome. When you have knowledge, you will be head far above your peers.

How much of God do you know?

The extent of God’s knowledge you grasp will determine the level of your freedom. By the knowledge of God, keys will be delivered into your hands. Daniel had a personal and vibrant relationship with God. The source of prosperity and breakthrough in life lie with God. And as long as you refuse to get connected to him on a one to one basis, you will continue to experience struggle.

One miracle is all you need to catapult your life from obscurity to renown; from abject poverty to unfailing prosperity and it comes through knowing him.

Daniel discovered his God early and as such, he discovered the formula to breakthrough and the pathway to life by simply knowing God, he got connected to an unending source of prosperity. He discovered that the hearts of kings, the thrones of kingdoms and the scepters of dominions are laid in the hands of God and he decided to get in contact with the highest of all. As long as you seek God you will prosper.

IS RHEMA RELEVANT TO YOUR PROSPERITY?

On November 23, 1988, I was on my way from Ikoyi in Lagos State, Nigeria, where I had gone to source for funds for the ministry. As I drove along at a quarter to one in the morning, broken and disappointed because my expectations had not been realized. I heard His voice clearly; (Rhema, the spoken word of God) “son the day you stop chasing men I will magnify my glory.” From that day onward I stopped looking up to men.

Stand on the promises of God for that is the only way you can shine. Discover the word that is connected to your situation and shine thereby. Every exploit in life is as a result of knowledge. No man ever got to the top without knowing what it takes to get there.

It is your turn.

Everything that connotes begging in your life must cease and die off. You must begin to shine in Jesus name.

“The thief comes to steal and kill and destroy: I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. John 10: 10 [RSV]

You can only connect to abundant life when you know the source. In the midst of captivity, Daniel sat on the throne of abundance because he knew the king of kings. Discover the abundant life in Christ. Become an inspiration to those around you. Align yourself with him so that men will be forced to ask you what the secret of your success is.

No one is interested in identifying with a failure. Discover the keys that are able to open the doors of abundance to you through His ‘word’

When you walk in the knowledge of the mysteries of God, you will flourish. The bible has an answer to every question pertaining to this life in between its pages. This is the ‘logos’ or the written word.

When you receive revelational insight into the word of God it becomes ‘Rhema’ it takes up life, light and understanding dawn on you concerning the decision, that problem or that question. The solution you need can be determined by the word of God.

The difference between the ‘logos’ and the ‘rhema’ is results. So sit down with the word of God to make your life count. The man who can only stay on the word will be prosperous

“This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth…

For then shall make thy way prosperous and then shall thou have good success” Joshua 1:8

Prosperity, good health, long life peace and all those things that are essential for good life are all located in the word of God.

REWARDS FOR SOUL WINNING

“And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be” Rev. 22:12.

We must realize that we are in a kingdom that operates by principles. Our God is the God of principles. Until you submit to principles you cannot become a principal. It is only those that have submitted themselves to labour in the vineyard of God that are qualified to be rewarded by God.

Rewards for soul winning are not restricted to a particular person but it is an all-embracing package. Though the Bible says “ In all labour there is profit….” (Prov.14:23) but you must realize that it cannot work or labour in John Holt company and go to Chivita company at the end of the month to collect salary. In other words, it is only those that laboured in soul winning that are entitled to the rewards that God has for soul winners.

What are the rewards for soul winning?

1. Manifestation of God’s power. (Mk 16:20): It was as they went forth preaching that God began to manifest His power through them by signs and wonders. The cheapest way to be a sign carrier is to be a genuine witness for Jesus. In Acts 13:6-12, God revealed His power through Apostle Paul and Elymas the sorcerer; he became blind for a season. Do you want to heal the sick? Then go and witness Christ to the sick and see what will happen.

2. Cheap access to covenant blessing (Exodus 22:25): What others in Church fast and pray for will cheaply come to soul winner. The covenant of service has no respect for “TITLE”. It is your input that determines your blessing.

3. Enhances your state of holiness. When you preach to others the necessity of receiving Christ as their Lord and saviour, you cannot afford to live a sinful live. You are the light of the world to those around you, so you should be conscious to live an exemplary life. 1 cor9:27 “But I keep under my body and bring it into subjection;lest by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be cast away”

4. A crown of righteousness (2 Tim4:8): Another reward that is laid up for those that win souls is the crown of righteousness. Apostle Paul said, “Hence forth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness…” Many will get to heaven only to discover that they are not qualified to wear the crown of righteousness, not because they did not pay their tithe but because there was no single soul won to God through them.

5. Increase in wisdom (Prov 11:30): “…and he that winneth a soul is wises.” In other words, he that does not win a soul is a fool. So the more souls you win, the more you increase in your level of wisdom. How? The more you release yourself to be used by the Holy Spirit to reach out to souls, the more the Holy Spirit will release his anointing upon you and increase you.

THE BLESSING OF THE LORD

TEXT: PROVERB 10:22
“The Blessing of the Lord, it Maketh Rich,
And He Addedeth No Sorrow with it.”

Many get too busy trying to impress men instead of committing themselves to God. The Bible says, “The blessing of the Lord maketh rich and added no sorrow with it…” It is the blessing that manifest in riches. The people of the world believe so much on human effort to become successful in life and that is probably the reason why they despise God. This ugly trend has also crept into the Church of Christ. Human effort is good but God’s blessing is better and it makes life easier and more comfortable.

WHAT IS A BLESSING?
A blessing is a supernatural provision that empowers you to prosper beyond human measure.

Sorrow is not part of the covenant of blessing that we have with God. The reason why many are experiencing sorrow today is because they pretend to be committed to God while in actual fact.(1Jh 2: 15). They are committed and pursuing after the things of this of this world.

Christ has paid the price for your future on the cross but you cannot realize it until you are genuinely connected and committed to him. You must be prepared to invest in spiritual things in order to enjoy this blessing. What kind of life are you living? How do people see you in your place of work or your neighbourhood? Are you living for Christ or you are living for yourself like the people of the world? What is your testimony in your place of business or community? Can people be converted to Christ through your testimony or they will refuse to serve God because of your life style?

The blessing we are talking about can only make you rich when your way of life conform with the example Jesus Christ left behind for us. (1Pet. 2:21). Having money alone is not all there is to riches. When you have money and no health, you will use all your money to serve sickness. The blessing we are talking about is all encompassing. It has to do with the total package of salvation. If you have it, you will sleep well.

The only way to partake in the blessing of God that adds no sorrow is to be established in Christ. The moment you become born-again, you are covenantly entitled to enjoy this blessing that is sorrow-free. And as long as you remain established in faith, your destiny is guaranteed. Nothing negative will temper with your blessing in Jesus name. But you must remember that if you want to keep the author of sorrow out of your blessing, then you must remain faithful to Him (God).

Lets look at some people in the Bible whom God empowered to prosper supernaturally.

ABRAHAM: He was blessed beyond measure materially and financially. God favoured him (Gen.13). This is a man that came from a home where idol worshipping was the order of the day. But God distinguished him because he was faithful and committed to God. Before this month comes to a close, God will favour you and distinguish you. You will be distinguished! Say amen! It is time for you to be distinguished among your peers.

ISAAC: It was faithfulness on the part of Isaac that made him great in a strange land and in a time of famine. (Gen.26:12-14). Who told you that God cannot bless you irrespective of Economic meltdown? God will turn things around for you dramatically this week in Jesus name! God bless you.
